- 2020 Research Grant Letters of Intent Due: November 15, 2019
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible, the principal investigator of the study must be an STN member involved in some aspect of trauma patient care, education or research.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: The letter of intent is due approximately two months prior to the application submission date. It is used to select qualified projects and candidates, and to verify the research team composition. The submission and acceptance of a letter of intent does not imply that the applicant will receive funding. Investigators will be notified if projects are deemed inappropriate for this particular application. Applications without a prior letter of intent will not be considered for funding.

INTENT FORM: Please complete all areas of the letter of intent form as instructed below:
- Principal Investigator: Name the one individual who will be primarily responsible for implementing this proposal and for reporting to STN. Provide name, credentials, institutional affiliation and previous research funding experience and amount of funding.
- Title of the project: Provide exact title of project.
- Brief statement describing the proposed study, including the following areas (Please limit to 300 words)
- Purpose/Background
- Aims/Research Questions
- Methods
- Design - Identify the research design. Indicate if the project is a pilot study.
- Sample - For qualitative or quantitative studies, describe the projected number and type of participants.
- Setting - Provide a brief rationale for the use of the selected setting(s).
- Procedure - Describe all sampling and assignment procedures.
- Research Team: (names, credentials, institutional affiliations, role on the team, previous completed Research funding experience and amount of project research funding received over the past three years, if any).
- List of potential research sites, if applicable
