#  Lessons Learned from the Management of Hypothermia and Rhabdomyolysis

While hypothermia can occur during any season, trauma patients are more vulnerable to it during the winter. The trauma patient is also exposed to severe consequences caused from rhapbdomyolysis and compartment syndrome. Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to describe the sequelae of hypothermia in the trauma patient, along with appropriate management. Additionally, participants will be able to identify the signs of rhabdomyolysis and applicable management schemes, and be able to verbalize signs and symptoms of compartment syndrome and the treatment modalities.

**Members who are logged will be provided with a CE Credit link (below) for the duration of 3 years from the original presentation date (noted above). After 3 years, CE will no longer be made available. Members however are still welcome to watch the presentation independently for non-CE credit.**

**John Parker Sharpe, MD, MS, FACS** completed his undergraduate studies at Kalamazoo College Medical School at Wayne State University and completed his residency and trauma surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Tennessee. He then stayed on as a trauma surgeon at the Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center in Memphis for three years. Dr. Sharpe returned to Michigan in July of 2019 to join Covenant Healthcare. He is an author of multiple publications including professional journals and books.
