"Gun Safety and Your Health" Brochure: Co-Branding Versions Are Available!

As part of an ongoing effort to prevent firearm-related injuries, the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACS COT) has released two new versions of the Gun Safety and Your Health brochure, with messaging geared towards patients and their families regarding responsible firearm ownership. This brochure offers tips to help individuals keep themselves, their families, and their communities safe from firearm injuries, and encourages people to use health care providers as a resource if they have any concerns about the impact a firearm may have on their health or the health of their loved ones.

The new versions of the Gun Safety and Your Health brochure, including a PowerPoint slide deck, allow you to add your organization’s branding to both print and digital formats so it can be incorporated into your organization’s regularly utilized resources and presentations. This brochure is part of a larger ACS COT effort to engage the public health and medical communities to promote prevention efforts that address the growing problem of firearm-related injuries and deaths. The ACS COT hopes the health care community will make this brochure available to their patients as an opportunity to engage them in discussions around firearm injury prevention and safety.

The Gun Safety and Your Health brochure with the option to add your own logo is available for free download on the ACS website in multiple press-quality file formats.

Stay tuned for the release of a Spanish translation of the Gun Safety and Your Health brochure.
